Technical Consultant & Subject Matter Expert Full Stack / Backend / Frontend
Role Purpose
Brisa Technologies is seeking an experienced software engineering professional to engage with customers, understand their technology and talent requirements, and support candidate readiness.
The primary requirement is the ability to hold credible, in-depth technical conversations with customer managers, architects, and senior engineers. The consultant will visit customer locations, build trusted relationships, clarify job descriptions and assessment expectations, and translate these insights into practical guidance for recruiters and candidates.
Key Responsibilities

• Visit Brisa's customer locations and build rapport with technical teams, hiring managers, architects, and senior engineering personnel.
• Discuss application architecture, technology stacks, engineering practices, project challenges, and expected candidate capabilities.
• Understand customer JDs and clarify mandatory skills, seniority, project responsibilities, and acceptable alternative technologies.
• Establish technical interview expectations, including assessment depth, coding exercises, design discussions, and evaluation criteria.
• Convert customer discussions into concise requirement notes, recruiter screening guidance, and candidate preparation plans.
• Prepare candidates for technical discussions, coding assessments, project articulation, and architecture-related questions.
• Conduct technical screening or mock interviews when required and provide actionable feedback.
• Coordinate with recruitment, account management, and delivery teams to improve candidate's requirement alignment.

Required Experience and Technical Expertise

• Around 10+ years of experience in software development, architecture, technical consulting, or engineering leadership.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Working knowledge of React or Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frontend backend integration.
• Ability to discuss SQL, database design, application testing, Git, CI/CD, performance, security, and production troubleshooting.
• Depth in backend or full-stack engineering, with sufficient breadth to support frontend requirements.
• Exposure to .NET/C#, AWS/Azure, and containerised applications is desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.

• Ability to distinguish stated JD requirements from actual project and team needs.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, documentation, and candidate-coaching skills.
• Sound judgement in assessing practical experience and technical fit.

Work Arrangement and Success Measures

• Customer-facing consulting role requiring visits to Brisa's customer locations two to three days a week.
• Flexible coordination with customers, candidates, and internal teams.
• Success measured by customer trust, requirement clarity, quality of sourcing guidance, candidate readiness, and technical fit of shortlisted profiles.
