Technical Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Understand and analyze Life Insurance and Annuities business processes and products.
• Prepare BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, and Functional Specifications.
• Work closely with business users, product owners, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into clear and detailed functional requirements for technical teams.
• Perform AS-IS and TO-BE process analysis and identify process improvements.
• Participate in requirement clarification, solution discussions, and walkthroughs.
• Support impact analysis for new product features, enhancements, and regulatory changes.
• Create and maintain requirement traceability documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Support QA teams by providing requirement clarifications and reviewing test scenarios.
• Perform basic functional testing, test case review, defect validation, and UAT support.
• Assist in identifying, analyzing, and documenting defects.
• Coordinate with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are delivered as expected.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation.
• Prepare user guides, process documentation, and training materials when required.

Basic Testing Experience:

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Ability to create and review test scenarios and test cases based on business requirements.
• Basic knowledge of Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT.
• Defect identification, logging, tracking, and validation.
• Understanding of Severity, Priority, and defect lifecycle.
• Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar.
• Ability to perform basic SQL queries for data validation is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
