    About this role

    Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Assurance Engineer to support independent internal assurance of multidisciplinary as-built packages on a major UK rail infrastructure programme, reviewing delivery evidence for completeness, consistency and compliance ahead of external review gateways. The role offers broad exposure to engineering assurance and digital delivery, with occasional visits to the UK.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for reviewing models, drawings, documents and supporting evidence to ensure all required quality checks are completed and deliverables are accurate and consistent. The role involves assessing package readiness for assurance gateways, coordinating review comments with discipline and delivery teams, tracking actions through to closure, proactively identifying and escalating risks or quality concerns, and supporting assurance reporting while driving continuous improvement of quality processes, standards and checklists.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
    • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including technical assurance, design review and quality management.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and challenge inconsistencies effectively.
    • Strong experience reviewing engineering models, drawings and documentation within structured delivery processes.
    • Proven workflow management skills, including coordinating complex processes and cross-functional dependencies.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
    • Experience in UK infrastructure projects and familiarity with BIM and ISO 19650 standards is desirable.
    • Working towards or holding professional accreditation (ICE, IStructE or equivalent) is advantageous.
    • Keen interest in digital tools, automation and AI-driven solutions to improve workflow efficiency and reporting quality.
