Technical Assistant

Job Title: Technical Assistant Electronics Assembly

We are looking for a Technical Assistant with practical skills in soldering, cable preparation, and wiring, along with a basic understanding of electronic components and connectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform soldering and desoldering of electronic components, wires, and connectors.
• Prepare cable assemblies, including wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and labelling.
• Assemble and wire electronic units according to drawings and instructions.
• Identify basic electronic components, connector types, pin numbers, and polarity.
• Carry out visual inspections and basic continuity checks using a multimeter.
• Assist engineers with prototype assembly, testing, repairs, and rework.
• Follow safety and ESD precautions and maintain an organised work area.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• ITI, Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or relevant practical experience.
• Good hands-on soldering and cable assembly skills.
• Basic understanding of resistors, capacitors, diodes, relays, and connectors.
• Ability to read simple wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions.
• Familiarity with soldering stations, crimping tools, and multimeters.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with the technical team.

Preferred Experience

Experience in PCB soldering, wire harness preparation, circular connectors, and electronic equipment assembly.
