Technical Assistant

ELIGIBILITY:-

B.Tech. / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation OR B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation OR 3-year polytechnical diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with similar job responsibilities as mentioned below.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Carry out preliminary inspection of laboratory equipment, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, refrigeration, vacuum, etc., within the individual's area of competence.

Verify reported symptoms using appropriate diagnostic tools and undertake basic troubleshooting to identify the probable faulty component.

Use multimeters, insulation testers, temperature/pressure/vacuum measuring devices and other appropriate diagnostic instruments for preliminary fault verification, wherever applicable.

Assist the Instrumentation Manager during visits by OEM-authorized/third-party service engineers, document observations, verify reported faults and support execution of corrective actions.

Undertake basic in-house corrective work within competence, including electrical/electronic/mechanical adjustments, component-level checks, connections, calibration-support activities and other minor rectification work.

Assist in installation, assembly, commissioning, de-installation and relocation of scientific equipment, including basic site prerequisites and utility checks.

Assist in preventive-maintenance inspections, service documentation, complaint tracking, repair validation, and verification of AMC/CAMC service activities.

Maintain records of commonly required spare parts, consumables, diagnostic instruments, tools and accessories required for instrumentation management support.
