Technical Architect

Role & responsibilities

• Define and design robust, scalable, secure, and high-performance technical architectures.
• Translate business and functional requirements into comprehensive technical solutions.
• Lead architecture and design decisions across applications, platforms, APIs, databases, and integrations.
• Design and implement microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and enterprise solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, tools, and platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering teams, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.
• Establish technical standards, architecture principles, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Conduct technical and architecture reviews and ensure adherence to defined standards.
• Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and opportunities for modernization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, senior engineers, and technical leads.
• Drive cloud adoption, application modernization, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and technology transformation initiatives.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, reliability, scalability, availability, maintainability, and performance.
• Prepare and maintain architecture documents, technical specifications, solution diagrams, and technology roadmaps.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, technical architecture, solution architecture, or a similar role.
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#/.NET, Python, or similar technologies.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of microservices, APIs, databases, system integration, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architecture.
• Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, design patterns, scalability, performance optimization, and application security.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and event-driven or messaging architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to make sound technical decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and providing architecture-level technical leadership.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant masters degree or professional certifications are an advantage.
