Technical Advisor

Role & responsibilities

1. Attend to customers and understand vehicle complaints related to commercial heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles.

2. Prepare accurate job cards, explain repair requirements, provide cost estimates, and communicate service timelines to customers.

3. Coordinate with technicians, workshop managers, and the spare parts department to ensure timely and efficient vehicle servicing and repairs.

4. Monitor repair progress, conduct vehicle inspections, ensure quality standards, and verify that vehicles are ready for safe delivery.

5. Maintain customer relationships, provide technical guidance, resolve service-related complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction through timely follow-ups.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Qualification: Diploma or B.Tech in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Relevant Experience: Candidates with 15 years of experience as a Technical Advisor, Service Advisor, Workshop Supervisor, or Service Engineer in commercial vehicle dealerships.
• Industry Background: Candidates from heavy commercial vehicle companies such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Eicher, BharatBenz, Mahindra Truck and Bus, or Volvo Trucks.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of heavy vehicle engines, transmission systems, braking systems, vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Customer Handling Skills: Candidates experienced in job card preparation, repair estimation, coordination with technicians, customer complaint resolution, and service follow-up.
