Summary of role: Quality is tasked with defining and promoting a quality mindset across an entire company and managing all QA functions, working with cross-departmental leadership to deliver high quality products on schedule. This will establish and maintain a quality system to ensure a companys facilities, equipment, personnel, methods, processes, and procedures conform to both internal guidelines and regulatory standards.

Quality also responsible in Chemical and physical analysis of Glass and Raw Materials and to act as Decision Support system for procurement as well as customer need.

All will be aiming to Ensure Glass Manufacturing at Optimum Cost with Safe work ambience by following best practices across industry.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Compliance in Product and Process Quality of both Annealed and Tempered Glass as per the national / global standards and other statutory requirements.

2. Liaising between glass manufacturing and module manufacturing unit for any technical gaps. Addressing issues related to end users application including complaint investigation, CAPA and bringing final resolutions by balancing consumer and producer risk.

3. Management & control of IMS & DCM systems

4. Initiating cross functional teams for quality and productivity improvement

5. Setup quality system (Quality norms, statutory testing protocols), procedures and Execution.

6. Decision Support System by Laboratory Analysis - Incoming inspection of Raw Material, Chemical Analysis of Glass and Raw Material, Sieve Analysis of Raw Material, Spectrophotometric analysis, Analysis of Optical Quality, Glass Defect detection

7. Product & Process Test certificates (FPC, Product certification, Internal & External Audits) from external agencies as and when required. Conducting Process audits and monitoring process discipline.

8. Process capability analysis, Process Audits and recommendation for change management, document revisions and update.

9. Making Budget and Control for Quality and Laboratory.

10. Coordination with key Vendor & Control several in-house test phases of production.

11. Respond to field technical questions and enquiries from customers as required.

12. Overview in both Equipment safety and OHS by reviewing the work procedures & working condition in the plant by training and Compliance of legal and statuary requirement.

13. Performance or Business Excellence Lead focus on Lead in Lean and 6 Sigma in Glass Making and Process Audit.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (3+ years of experience) or Diploma in Engineering.(10+ years of experience)
