Team Member - Planning & MIS

Purpose/Objective

The Site Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating the project schedule at site level, ensuring alignment with construction progress and project milestones.
The role focuses on daily planning, progress tracking, coordination with execution teams, analysis of deviations, and supporting on-site decision-making for smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Prepare and maintain detailed site execution schedules, incorporating daily/weekly work fronts, resource deployment, and material availability.
- Support the preparation of Project Micro & Macro Schedules by providing accurate ground-level inputs on resources, constraints, and planned progress.
- Develop daily/weekly work plans aligned with the overall project schedule and communicate them to execution teams.
- Track and record daily, weekly, and monthly site progress against the baseline schedule.
- Conduct regular schedule variance analysis and highlight delays, risks, and bottlenecks to site leadership.
- Update S-Curves, histograms, and productivity graphs reflecting actual site progress.
- Prepare planning MIS reports for submission to the Head Office planning team.
- Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Quality, and Safety teams to gather progress data and ensure alignment.
- Participate in daily Toolbox meetings, weekly review meetings, and site coordination discussions.
- Collaborate with contractors/subcontractors for resource planning, work sequencing, and monitoring deliverables.
- Monitor availability and utilization of manpower, equipment, and critical materials.
- Identify shortages, resource conflicts, and inefficiencies, and escalate for timely resolution.
- Implement resource leveling at site to ensure optimal productivity.
- Identify risks impacting schedule and support delay analysis and extension of time documentation.
- Maintain updated project documents: daily progress reports, work fronts, look-ahead schedules, baselines.
- Ensure proper use of Primavera P6/MSP for daily updates and reporting.
- Support digital tools (SAP, dashboards, mobile reporting).

Qualifications and Experience

- BE/B.
Tech in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of site-based project planning experience in renewable/infrastructure sector - Hands-on experience with Primavera P6/MSP is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of site execution, resource planning, and productivity analysis.
