Team Member - Design (NPD)

Purpose of the Role:

To develop technical proposals and concepts for automation projects (Industrial Automation & Textile Automation), validate designs through engineering calculations and simulations, prepare and review manufacturing, assembly, and layout drawings, BOMs, and project documentation. Support project execution, customer-site commissioning and machine sustenance, NPD projects through product launch, cost estimation, and completion of TEI initiatives.

Roles & Accountabilities:

• Conceptual design and initial cost estimation for NPD
• Support IPR verification for NPD
• Tear down analysis support for NPD
• 3D-Model Creation for Detailed Design
• Design Calculation and Standard Bought out Selection
• Material Selection and Cycle Time Calculation
• Input / Output List Preparation
• Engineering BOM creation
• 2-D Drawings creation
• Design check as per DFX
• Support design FMEA
• NPD Gate process - documents preparation pertaining to design activities
• Validation and Verification Document Preparation
• Machine manual creation
• ERP support - Item creation, Engineering BOM
• Purchase intend - for BOM items
• Design verification and prototype design release
• Pilot batch design modifications based on DVVP and issue tracker
• ECN release for any design revision
• Technical support - Manufacturing and Assembly on need basis
• Technical support for site installations on need basis
• Product Handover and Knowledge transfer to product Engineering Design team
• Participation in TEI initiatives of QCC/Kaizen and completion of related projects
