Team Leader - Record To Report

Role & responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Accounting & Close Activities

• Perform end-to-end accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in the ERP system
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and clear outstanding items on a timely basis

Financial Reporting

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules as per applicable standards
• Assist in preparation of management reports, variance analysis, and Narrative
• Support consolidation and intercompany accounting activities
• Ensure reporting deadlines are met with high accuracy

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, SOX controls, and statutory requirements
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
• Identify control gaps and support implementation of corrective actions
• Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Supply chain and commercial teams across the locations and FSS Internal teams
• Respond to queries from auditors, controllers, and management in a timely manner

Education

• Bachelors degree in accountancy/finance; CA Inter / ICWA / MBA (Fin)

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivots, data analysis)
• Understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting cycles
