About this role
Group Company: TVS Motor Company
Position description: We are looking for technically & professionally competent process planning engineers who are capable of designing end-to-end supply chain systems, including planning & establishing warehouses, designing inbound & outbound logistics with appropriate material handling technologies and designing & developing packing & packaging for CBU, SKD, CKD formats. He will also be responsible for plant layout design and space planning. Primary Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop and implement end-to-end supply chain systems, both inbound and outbound.
2. Design, evaluate and finalise plant layouts and warehouse layouts.
3. Design and develop strategy/long range plans for supply chain systems, warehousing and logistics.
4. Estimate space requirement for new products aligning to master plans and long range plans.
5. Design, develop and implement strategies for efficient inventory management.
6. Design, develop and implement packing & packaging for CBU, SKD and CKD formats.
7. Design & develop defect-free packing and packaging process for vehicles and parts.
8. Design & develop modern material handling systems, material handling equipment's for both inbound & outbound logistics.
9. Evaluate and apply appropriate manufacturing systems (JIT, Lean, Agile) for supply chains and warehouse.
10. Technical documentation of the designed process with PPAP (IATF 4th edition) and on-time customer approval (PSW sign-off). Educational qualifications preferred.
