Team Lead - MERN Stack Developer

Team Lead – MERN Stack Developer | Hackingly 📍 Jaipur (Work from Office) | Full-Time | 2+ Years Experience Hackingly is building India's largest student builder community — and we're looking for a Team Lead who can own our backend, ship fast, and bring up a small team of developers along the way. If you've got 2+ years of MERN experience and you're ready to move from "writing code" to "owning architecture and mentoring a team," this is your next role.

What you'll own

• Lead and mentor a small dev team — assign tasks, unblock issues, and keep delivery on track
• Build and maintain scalable backend APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and Prisma ORM
• Design schemas, optimize queries, and manage migrations across MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Build React.js modules when the work calls for it
• Navigate existing codebases, debug confidently, and ship new features without breaking what's already working
• Design authentication, authorization, and role-based access control from scratch
• Integrate payment gateways (Razorpay preferred) and own the complete payment workflow end-to-end
• Drive architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning
• Own testing, documentation, and deployment readiness — not just "make it work," but "make it production-ready"

What you bring

• JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, Express.js, React.js
• MongoDB / PostgreSQL + Prisma ORM
• Strong REST API development, JWT-based auth, and RBAC
• Comfort with Git/GitHub and API testing tools (Postman/Swagger)
• Sharp debugging and performance optimization instincts
• Experience leading or mentoring developers — even informally
• The ability to take a business requirement and ship a reliable solution with minimal hand-holding

Good to have

• Razorpay or similar payment gateway integration
• Cloudinary, AWS S3, or similar storage services
• Experience with ERP, SaaS, CRM, or dashboard-heavy applications
• Agile/Scrum exposure
