    About this role

    Lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial packages for assigned Homeowners Associations (HOAs), ensuring strict adherence to delivery timelines, accounting standards, and quality benchmarks.
    Supervise the monthly bank reconciliation workflow, monitoring completion across the team, enforcing reconciliation timelines, and directly guiding the resolution of complex or aged reconciling items.
    Direct month-end and year-end close operations, establishing closing schedules, distributing portfolio workloads, and reviewing and approving critical journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
    Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger health, instituting quality control checks to maintain financial data integrity and ensure all association accounts remain audit-ready.
    Guide the team in financial variance analysis, reviewing profit and loss (P&L) trends, ensuring contextual commentary is clear and accurate, and standardizing reporting delivered to HOA Boards and executive leadership.
    Lead the annual budget preparation and forecasting cycle for the teams assigned portfolios, coordinating deadlines, reviewing financial models, and aligning financial projections with board objectives.
    Act as the primary operational liaison for audits, coordinating team deliverables for internal and external auditors, reviewing audit schedules, and resolving technical inquiries.
    Serve as the primary escalation point for Community Managers, Relationship Managers (RMs), and cross-functional partners to resolve complex operational challenges and client financial inquiries.
    Manage team capacity, workflow distribution, and performance metrics, tracking turnaround times (TAT), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and error rates to balance workload across the team effectively.
    Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, conducting structured training, onboarding new hires, setting clear performance expectations, and leading regular feedback and review sessions.
    Champion operational excellence and internal controls, updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), identifying automation opportunities, and streamlining reporting workflows across association accounts.
