OVERVIEW
AIS is seeking to hire an experienced Team Lead - Investor Accounting who will be responsible for overseeing daily investor accounting operations, ensuring accurate reconciliations, timely reporting, compliance with investor guidelines, and leading a team of analysts. The role serves as the primary escalation point, drives process improvements, and ensures operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and mentor the Investor Accounting team
- Review and approve investor, custodial, escrow, and clearing account reconciliations
- Monitor aging items and ensure timely issue resolution
- Support month-end close, audits, and compliance requirements
- Act as the escalation point for complex accounting and reconciliation issues
- Develop and maintain SOPs, controls, and quality standards
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Treasury, and Investor Reporting teams
- Track team performance and ensure adherence to SLAs and deadlines
- Prepare management reports and present key operational metrics
SKILLS
- Mortgage servicing and investor accounting experience
- Process improvement and automation mindset
- Strong communication and team management abilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of Investor Accounting/Reconciliation experience
- 2-3 years of team leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel knowledge and experience with financial systems
