Team Lead - Expansion

About the Role

We are looking for a highly driven and execution-focused Team Lead Expansion to support warehouse and infrastructure expansion activities across multiple geographies. The role involves identifying and onboarding warehouse properties, coordinating infrastructure setup, managing vendors, and ensuring operational readiness of facilities.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of warehouse infrastructure, property scouting, vendor management, and administration operations, along with the ability to travel extensively and independently manage expansion activities.

Key Responsibilities

Property Identification & Evaluation

• Scout and identify suitable properties for:

Dark Store (Quick Commerce)

Fulfilment centres

Replenishment centres

Standalone warehouses

Delivery centres within assigned geographies

• Conduct preliminary evaluation of properties, including documentation and occupancy readiness.
• Gather first-hand information on rental commercials and contract terms, and align landlord expectations accordingly.
• Coordinate with landlords and property agents to arrange site visits and meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Collect and perform initial vetting of all relevant property documents.

Infrastructure & Site Setup

• Identify and onboard local vendors for asset procurement and infrastructure requirements.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of assets at sites.
• Supervise site-specific infrastructure activities including:

Electrical setup

Internet connectivity

Water and sanitary arrangements

Other facility-related requirements

Vendor & Administration Management

• Identify and manage vendors for support services such as:

Security

Housekeeping

Drinking water

Beverages

Printing & stationery

Other auxiliary services

• Coordinate monthly invoicing and billing verification with multiple service providers and agencies.
• Monitor waste and recyclable material generated at warehouse locations and identify suitable disposal/recycling vendors.

Asset Management

• Carry out asset tagging and codification activities for all assets received at site.
• Maintain proper tracking and coordination for infrastructure and facility assets.

Candidate Profile

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in infrastructure setup and administration activities.
• Experience in vendor development and vendor management, especially for assets and general merchandise supplies.
• Good understanding of commercial property rental rates across different geographies.
• Strong coordination, negotiation, and execution skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay at project locations for extended durations, as required.
• Education – BE/BTech(electrical, Civil and Mechanical)
