Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher in conducting classroom activities and implementing lesson plans.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students as required.
• Support students during classroom activities, transitions, breaks and school routines.
• Assist with preparation of learning materials, displays and classroom resources.
• Help maintain a safe, organised and stimulating classroom environment.
• Observe students and share relevant learning or behavioural observations with the teacher.
• Support classroom management and encourage positive student behaviour.
• Assist during school events, activities, field trips and other programmes.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the academic team.

Requirements:

• Graduate/Diploma holder; qualification in Early Childhood Education or Education preferred.
• Prior experience working with children or in a school environment is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring, responsible and comfortable working closely with children.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative and actively support the lead teacher and students.
