Title: Manager II, Technical Scrum Lead

This role leads a team providing agile methodology services to cross-functional technology-related project(s) or product(s) teams, demonstrating technical expertise to improve productivity of teams and quality of work processes and outcomes. Project(s) or product(s) often have enterprise-wide implications. This role also ensures agile best practices are embedded in delivery, manages stakeholder alignment, and drives team performance through metrics and continuous feedback.

• Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Leads, builds, and coaches high performing teams in the delivery of technology-related products or projects, ensuring team actions are aligned with project and business goals. Instruct and coach other professionals.
• Leads planning, team learning, and adaptation of processes to ensure the quality of team solutions.
• Enables a continuous learning environment, identifying ways to strengthen the team's understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts and principles as they relate to technical capabilities.
• Builds and applies methodology that supports the integration of changing customer inputs and business conditions into technology-related product development.
• Recommends to the product owner and management in the definition and prioritization of technology-related outcomes. Identifies trade-offs between short and long term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner.
• Ensures the application of agile frameworks to the development process to increase effectiveness of technology-related product development or architecture.
• Removes roadblocks to technology-related product development or architecture. Applies learnings to other development projects.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Manages stakeholder expectations regarding target scope, schedule, and budget.
• Helps teams estimate iteration deliverables and increase sprint velocity.
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for agile methodologies and best practices.
• Promotes continuous communication and monitors team dynamics to foster collaboration.
• Facilitates scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, demos, and iteration meetings.
• Manages development tracking systems (e.g., product and sprint backlogs).
• Motivates and acts as the glue that holds cross-functional teams together.
• Monitors sprint progress and identifies impediments that hinder delivery.
• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting to proactively identify performance degradation and application disruptions
• Perform end to end triage and in depth troubleshooting of production incidents by analysing logs, telemetry signals, and related diagnostic data to quickly identify root causes and restore service
• Design and build ML models that analyse telemetry, logs and metrics to predict and prevent incidents before they impact users.
• Implement best in class detection mechanisms to reduce mean time to detect (MTTD) and accelerate incident response
• Develop systems that learn from historical incidents, continuously improving diagnostic accuracy and accelerate incident response time
• Build innovative, scalable alerting solutions across a heterogeneous technology landscape, including AWS, Unix, and Mainframe platforms.
• Develop and maintain synthetic monitoring to simulate real user interactions and ensure early detection of failures.
• Perform daily health checks, triage and troubleshoot alerts, and resolve issues to minimize downtime and user impact.
