Role Description:

A Network Engineer designs, implements, monitors, and manages an organizations IT infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and wireless networks. They are responsible for ensuring high network performance, uptime, and security by configuring routers, switches, and firewalls. Key duties include troubleshooting complex issues, upgrading systems, and collaborating with IT teams to support business continuity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
• Network Performance: Monitor network performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and optimize data traffic for maximum uptime
• Security & Compliance: Establish security protocols, manage firewalls, and implement security measures (VPN, IPS) to protect against threats.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, resolve, and document network issues, outages, and faults.
• Planning & Upgrades: Plan, design, and execute network upgrades, patches, and expansions to support organizational growth.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
