Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive Quality Management Strategy for IT Procurement and Sourcing operations. The role involves establishing quality control plans, compliance frameworks, audit mechanisms, testing methodologies, KPI governance, and quality assurance programs to ensure delivery excellence and operational compliance.

The incumbent will drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify control gaps, enhance operational efficiency, and provide stakeholders with confidence through robust quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

Quality Management & Governance

• Develop and implement the overall Quality Management Strategy for Procurement and Sourcing operations.
• Design and maintain Quality Control Plans, audit frameworks, and compliance governance models.
• Establish quality metrics, KPIs, scorecards, and performance standards.
• Ensure adherence to organizational quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Collect and consolidate operational data from stakeholders.
• Analyze procurement and sourcing data to identify trends, quality gaps, process deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and manage quality dashboards and performance reports.
• Track quality performance metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership teams.
• Monitor control effectiveness and recommend corrective actions.

Transaction Quality Assurance

• Conduct transaction audits for sourcing and procurement activities.
• Develop audit methodologies, sampling strategies, and quality review mechanisms.
• Maintain defect logs and track recurring error patterns.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using methodologies such as:
• 5 Whys
• Fishbone Analysis
• Pareto Analysis
• Other Quality Control Tools
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve process quality.

Training, Coaching & Mentoring

• Deliver constructive feedback to operations teams based on audit observations.
• Identify training needs through quality findings and defect trends.
• Design and deliver quality-focused training and coaching sessions.
• Mentor teams on quality standards, best practices, and process compliance.
• Support calibration exercises with operations and business stakeholders.

Sourcing & Procurement Quality Excellence

• Audit sourcing and procurement transactions to ensure process adherence.
• Monitor RFx, sourcing, vendor management, procurement workflows, and transactional accuracy.
• Identify operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support new process transitions through deployment of robust QA frameworks.
• Ensure quality standards are embedded across sourcing operations.

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives and process improvement projects.
• Identify process inefficiencies and control gaps.
• Lead quality transformation initiatives.
• Implement automation and standardization opportunities where applicable.
• Support business excellence and operational maturity programs.
