Key Responsibilities

1. Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Advance Tax and other applicable tax laws.
• Review tax computations, reconciliations, returns, and input tax credit management.
• Handle tax assessments, audits, notices, investigations and departmental correspondence.
2. Corporate & Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance under the Companies Act, ROC requirements, MSME regulations, Professional Tax, Shops & Establishment Act and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate with Company Secretary for statutory filings, board matters and corporate governance requirements.
3. Litigation & Risk Management
• Manage tax and regulatory notices, assessments, appeals and litigation matters.
• Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of statutory records.
4. Audit & Stakeholder Management
• Act as the key coordinator for Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, Tax Audit, GST Audit and regulatory inspections.
• Liaise with auditors, consultants, government authorities and internal stakeholders.
5. Compliance Governance & Controls
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
• Drive process improvements and automation in taxation and compliance functions.
6. Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor and develop the taxation and compliance team.
• Allocate work, review deliverables and ensure timely closure of compliance activities.
7. Business Advisory
• Provide tax and compliance guidance on contracts, new business initiatives, imports, inter-state transactions, tenders and commercial arrangements.
• Support management in decision-making by evaluating tax implications and regulatory risks.

• 100% timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, MSME and other statutory returns.
• Accurate monthly tax reconciliations and compliance reporting.
• Effective closure of notices, assessments and audit observations.
• Up-to-date compliance calendar with zero missed statutory deadlines.
• Strong internal controls and compliance risk management framework.

Qualification

• CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance with 6+ years of relevant experience may also be considered.
