Tax Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-calibre GST & TDS professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to independently manage end-to-end tax compliance across multiple GST registrations, including Input Service Distributor (ISD) compliance. Experience in the food, FMCG or food-processing industry is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end GST compliance across multiple GST registrations, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns and reconciliations, wherever applicable.
• Handle Input Service Distributor (ISD) compliance, including eligible credit identification, distribution, reconciliation and return filing.
• Drive GSTR-2B vs. purchase register reconciliations, ITC eligibility reviews and vendor follow-ups.
• Manage TDS applicability, deductions, payments, quarterly returns, reconciliations and resolution of defaults.
• Ensure appropriate GST treatment for food products, product categories, packaging materials, contract manufacturing, freight, warehousing, discounts and promotional schemes, as applicable.
• Handle GST/TDS notices, assessments, audits and departmental queries.
• Monitor statutory amendments, strengthen internal controls and ensure timely, accurate compliance.

Candidate Profile

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on GST and TDS experience.
• Mandatory: Experience managing multiple GST registrations and end-to-end ISD compliance.
• Strong knowledge of GST provisions, ITC rules, TDS sections and statutory requirements.
• Relevant tax exposure in the food, FMCG, manufacturing or food-processing industry, particularly product taxation, packaging, vendor transactions and supply-chain activities.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel, ERP systems and GST/TDS portals.
• Hindi-speaking ability is an added advantage, but not mandatory.
