Job Title: Tax Operations Specialist

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Relevant Experience: 2-5 years of experience in US Tax Operations, with knowledge or exposure to W-8 and W-9 forms, W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E, FATCA, NRA withholding, US withholding tax, tax documentation, tax reconciliation, tax adjustments and reversals, and Year-End Tax Reporting.

Must Have Skills:

• Strong knowledge of US Tax Operations.
• Hands-on or working knowledge of W-8 and W-9 forms.
• Understanding of W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E.
• Knowledge of FATCA and NRA withholding.
• Understanding of US withholding tax and tax documentation.
• Experience in tax reconciliation and reversals/adjustments.
• Exposure to Year-End Tax Reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day US Tax Operations activities related to withholding tax and tax documentation.
• Review and validate W-8 and W-9 forms, including their validity and applicability.
• Support FATCA and NRA withholding tax processes.
• Perform tax reconciliation and investigate discrepancies between systems and records.
• Process tax adjustments, corrections, and reversals as per established procedures.
• Support accurate Year-End Tax Reporting and related tax activities.
• Ensure accurate application of tax rules based on client/account documentation.
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure accurate data flow across applications.
• Identify and resolve exceptions related to tax processing and reporting.
• Follow established risk, control, compliance, quality, and service-level procedures.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity while meeting daily operational targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve tax-related issues.

CTC: Up to 5 LPA

Notice Period: Immediate Joiners to 30 Days

Preferred Background:
Candidates with experience in US Tax Operations, Tax Reporting, Withholding Tax, FATCA Operations, Banking Operations, Securities Operations, Custody Operations, Financial Services Operations, or Fund Accounting with US tax exposure will be preferred.

Important Screening Criteria:
Candidates should have knowledge of W-8/W-9 forms, FATCA, NRA withholding, and US Tax Operations.

Candidates with only Form 1040 / US Individual Tax Return preparation experience and no exposure to W-8/W-9, withholding, FATCA, or tax operations are not be suitable for this position.
