Tax Manager - Global Mobility Services (GMS)

• Accurately review and sign tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
• Offer specialized advice and strategic recommendations to internal teams regarding tax planning, withholding responsibilities and social security contributions.
• Educate and counsel employees on their tax responsibilities and the potential implications of international assignments.
• Provide guidance on tax equalization and protection policies to employees, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.
• Prepare supporting applications and documentation to optimize employees tax positions, including comprehensive data analysis and communication with assignees.
• Diligently maintain detailed tax records and documentation for accuracy and audit-readiness.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in international tax laws and regulations.
• Compile and present tax reports to management, auditors and tax authorities, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Conduct in-depth research on country-specific tax issues, particularly in areas where the organization operates.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients with employees on business trips, offering exceptional service and support.
• Regularly communicate with clients to update them on the progress of trip assessments, address concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
• Responsible for the financial management of the engagement (including billings, collection, metrics and KPI tracking).

• Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate, MBA.
• A US CPA or Enrolled Agent is mandatory.
• 6+ years in US Individual Taxation (Form 1040) in a recognized firm or Big 4.
• Should be a signer of US Individual Income Tax returns for a minimum of 12-18 months.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in team management and responsible for quality control within the team.
• Sound technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, along with analytical thinking ability.
• Experience working closely with foreign offices and clients.
• Capability to guide and support team members on technical positions and queries.
• Willingness to support team functions and experience mentoring juniors in basic and new tax technical topics.

Work Location: Bangalore or Kolkata.
