Tax Consultant

Responsibilities

• Manage and support domestic direct tax compliances, including corporate income-tax return preparation, tax audit coordination, advance tax workings and related documentation
• Assist in preparation of submissions, factual notes, reconciliations and responses for income-tax assessments
• Represent / assist in representation before tax authorities
• Responsible for compliances including withholding tax advisory, maintaining compliance tracker
• Co-ordination across various teams in the organization for obtaining data, resolving queries, etc.

• Required Skills / Competencies
• Strong working knowledge of the Income-tax Act, domestic corporate tax compliances, tax audit requirements and assessment / litigation processes.
• Hands-on experience in preparation /review of corporate income-tax computations, returns, notices, submissions and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with internal finance, accounts, business, legal and shared services teams for timely collection of information, query resolution and closure of tax matters
• Support tax provisioning, contingent liability assessment, effective tax rate analysis and audit queries for statutory / internal reporting purposes
• Represent / assist in representation before tax authorities and coordinate with external consultants, wherever required
• Contribute to automation, standardisation and strengthening of tax compliance processes, controls and management reporting
• Support tax assessments, audits, litigation matters and responses to tax authority notices
