What would you do The USA Sales Use tax accountant manages multi-state tax compliances and handles business notices and exemption certificates. This role requires 1 to 2 yrs of US state and local tax experience, a degree in accounting or finance or commerce with strong analytical skills, problem solving ability strong communication skills.Prepare and file multi states sales and use tax returns accurately.Validate, track and manage sales tax notices and exemption certificates.Reconcile tax accounts and process large sets of transactional data.Research state specific taxability rules tax rates.Support senior staff during state tax audits and data gathering.Collaborate with team members to deliver quality work and insights.The process of generating source data and performing required analysis to support indirect periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) tax filings, based on the clients interpretation of statutory and tax requirements.Examples include VAT, local sales and use taxes, property and income (business) taxes.
What are we looking for A Bachelor or master s degree in accounting, Tax, CA inter preferred.1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in US indirect or state and local tax compliances.Working knowledge of ERP systems and tax automation software (preferably Vertex) and electronic tax filing systems.Strong command of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reconciliation.Clear verbal and written communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities: In this role you are required to solve routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines.Your expected interactions are within your own team and direct supervisor.You will be provided detailed to moderate level of instruction on daily work tasks and detailed instruction on new assignments.The decisions that you make would impact your own work.You will be an individual contributor as a part of a team, with a predetermined, focused scope of work.Please note that this role may require you to work in rotational shifts
