Work Experience: 12+ Years
Requirements: - Senior Leadership: Broad IT architecture experience spanning enterprise virtualization, cloud-native storage, and Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC).
- Tanzu Architecture Expertise: Minimum of 5 years actively architecting and deploying vSphere with Tanzu, TKGS, TKGm, and vSphere Kubernetes Service environments.
- Networking Infrastructure: Deep expertise in vSphere 7/8, NSX-T/NSX Data Center, NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi), and Persistent Storage for Kubernetes.
- Core Kubernetes Capabilities: In-depth knowledge of upstream Kubernetes, Cluster API, Container Network Interface (CNI), Container Storage Interface (CSI), and container registries.
- Soft Skills Communication: Exceptional presentation, client management, and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to articulate high-level container strategies to executives while delivering deep-dive technical guidance to system engineers.
Preferred Certifications:
- VMware Certified Professional - Application Modernization (VCP-AM).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Customer Engagement Requirement Analysis: Lead design workshops with client stakeholders, DevOps teams, and enterprise architects to translate complex business needs into secure, scalable container strategies.
- Architectural Design Documentation: Author end-to-end High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), operational runbooks, and migration pathways for vSphere with Tanzu, Supervisor Clusters, and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) workloads.
- Deployment Platform Architecture: Design and oversee the implementation of vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS), Tanzu Control Planes, NSX Advanced Load Balancers (Avi), and vSAN Cloud Native Storage (CNS) integrations.
- DevOps Ecosystem Integration: Integrate modern CI/CD pipelines, container registries (Harbor), log/monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit), and service meshes into the Tanzu platform.
- Technical Governance Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and lead technical deployment engineers through hands-on implementation, day-2 operations, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management activities.
- Security Governance: Define Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), vSphere Namespaces, network policies, and security posture across Kubernetes clusters to meet enterprise compliance standards.
