Tableau Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Work as an individual contributor within the project delivery team, owning end-to-end dashboard development
• Understand client requirements, evaluate feasibility, and propose effective BI solutions
• Design, develop, and deploy complex Tableau dashboards incorporating advanced features (e.g., Level of Detail expressions, Table Calculations)
• Optimize dashboard and workbook performance on both Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
• Integrate with various databases such as Teradata, Oracle, Hive, MS SQL, and IBM DB2
• Ensure effective user management and permissions using Tableau Server
• Apply visualization best practices and maintain consistency in UI/UX
• Gather requirements independently from clients and manage expectations proactively
• Conduct testing and deliver high-quality outputs with performance tuning
• Mentor junior team members and manage small teams if required
