About this role
Job Summary
Growing IVI and ADAS programs, increasing customer engagements, and higher technical complexity associated with next-generation automotive platforms, this position is essential in ensuring scalable customer support, faster issue resolution, reduced program risk, and successful customer launches.
As a member of the Qualcomm Automotive Customer Engineering team, the candidate will be responsible for enabling the successful adoption and integration of Qualcomm SoC and platform solutions into next-generation Automotive IVI, Digital Cockpit, ADAS, and Autonomous Driving systems. The role involves close collaboration with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, ecosystem partners, and internal engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, from architecture definition and design-in through production launch and post-launch support.
The candidate will develop and maintain high-quality technical collateral including application notes, hardware design guidelines, safety concept documentation, platform integration guides, reference schematics, debug methodologies, and training materials. These deliverables will be leveraged globally by customer engineering teams and customers to accelerate product development and reduce integration risk.
The candidate will lead system architecture reviews and hardware design reviews, evaluate customer implementations, and provide expert technical guidance on Qualcomm solutions. Responsibilities include analyzing complex system-level issues, driving root cause investigations across hardware and software domains, optimizing platform performance, and delivering timely technical responses to customer inquiries and escalations.
The role requires deep understanding of SoC architectures, high-speed interfaces, power management, functional safety, signal integrity, memory subsystems, display/camera technologies, networking, and embedded software interactions. The candidate will work closely with chipset development, systems engineering, product management, safety, software, and validation teams to ensure successful customer deployments.
The candidate will serve as a key technical interface between customers and Qualcomm engineering teams, driving issue resolution, risk mitigation, and program execution. Strong cross-functional leadership skills are required to coordinate activities across multiple global teams and ensure alignment on technical deliverables and program milestones.
Prior experience working in automotive hardware and software domains, including collaboration with architecture, system, validation, safety, BSP, middleware, and application teams, is highly desirable. Experience supporting customer engagements, product commercialization, design troubleshooting, and production launches in automotive environments will be a significant advantage.
