System Manager (Unix)

Required Skills Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration (RHEL, Oracle Linux, or equivalent)
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Good understanding of OS internals (processes, memory, file systems, networking basics)
• Experience with system performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity management
• Strong experience with patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Experience working in hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Bash ,Go, Ansible, YAML, Terraform)
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible or similar)
• Solid understanding of system security, access management, and OS hardening
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI / AWS) and Linux-based cloud workloads
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform)
• Familiarity with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Exposure to Avaloq platform or willingness to learn Avaloq-specific tooling and frameworks
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Experience in banking, fintech, or regulated environments
• Certifications such as RHCSA / RHCE or equivalent
