System Engineer / Senior System Engineer (ETL, L2 Support & GCP)

We are looking for a System Engineer with 2+ years of overall experience (including 2+ years in production support) to maintain and support our data engineering platforms, ETL workflows, and cloud infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• L1/L2/L2.5 Production Support: Provide operational support for data pipelines, batch jobs, and cloud platforms. Monitoring & Incident Management: Monitor alerts, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and meet SLAs.
• Runbook & Config Execution: Perform routine operational tasks, system health checks, and configuration updates using Runbooks.
• Issue Resolution: Perform simple to medium issue analysis and troubleshooting (no code fixes required).
• Data & Pipeline Support: Support data ingestion, migration, and transformation processes in Google Cloud, BigQuery, and Linux environments.
• Effective Communication: Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams during incidents.
• Flexible to work in rotational / Night Shift

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Core Skills: Monitoring, Alert & Incident Management, Runbook Execution, Config Changes.
• Technical Exposure: Linux environment, Cloud experience (GCP preferred), and ETL experience (Informatica/AWS Glue/Databricks preferred).
• Languages & Querying: Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and complex SQL queries.
• Process & Communication: Strong problem-solving, effective verbal/written communication, and ITIL process awareness.
