JD for the NOC engineer:
- Knowledge of Networking concepts
- Knowledge of ITIL concepts
- Knowledge of ticketing tool
- Knowledge of server hardware systems
- Knowledge of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), and network security (firewalls)
- Knowledge about monitoring tool and how it works (ICMP, SNMP, WMI)
- Coordinating with respective ISPs to restore the services on a priority
- Agent-based and Agentless monitoring
- Monitoring the performance and capacity of computer systems
- SNMP protocol and how it configures in windows and Linux, SNMP port no, SNMP version
- L1 network troubleshooting skills
- Open for 24*7*365 shift environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Responding to network/applications alerts
- Tracking and documenting reported issues and compiling incident reports
