About the Role
We are seeking an experienced L2 System Administrator for a permanent role at Texnere, deputed to our client HPE. You will be responsible for maintaining high-availability environments across Linux, Windows, and VMware platforms, ensuring the stability of critical infrastructure for the UIDAI project.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Operating Systems: 4+ years of experience in Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Microsoft Server platforms.
- Containers/K8s: 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes administration, including cluster storage, networking, and performance troubleshooting.
- Virtualization & Hardware: Deep knowledge of VMWare and experience with HP Blade Servers, Rackmount, and Virtual Connect.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss.
- Storage & Clustering: Strong understanding of SAN technologies, converged solutions, and Cluster Services.
- Security: Experience in Linux vulnerability assessment and patch deployment solutions (Ubuntu/Redhat).
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Management: Independently resolve single and cross-technology incidents and lead teams through complex technical issues.
- Escalation & Problem Management: Manage technical escalations during crises and proactively perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues.
- Change Management: Prepare, review, and implement rollback and test plans for change records; perform risk and impact analysis.
- Patch & Security: Apply security patches per policy and monitor the environment for compliance and infrastructure compatibility.
- Configuration: Ensure all Configuration Management Database (CMDB) entries are complete and accurate.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Education: BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MSc/MCA or equivalent.
- Certifications (Preferred): K8s Admin (CKA), RHCE, VCP, CCNA, or MCSE.
Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business judgment, decision-making, and complex problem-solving abilities.
- Proven team player with the ability to motivate and support other engineers.
