Job Description: SAP PP-PI / QM Consultant on contract

Experience: 3 to 4 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on SAP PP-PI / QM Consultant with 34 years of relevant experience in process manufacturing and quality management. The candidate should have strong functional knowledge, practical configuration and support experience, and the ability to resolve SAP issues across multiple manufacturing plants.

The role requires on-site work in Gurgaon, along with regular visits to five manufacturing plants located approximately 3070 km from Gurgaon.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP PP-PI (Production Planning – Process Industries)

• Provide functional support and configuration for SAP PP-PI in a process manufacturing environment.
• Work on master recipes, process orders, material staging, and production execution.
• Handle process order transactions such as COR1, CORT, and COR6N.
• Troubleshoot production-related issues and support day-to-day plant operations.
• Coordinate with plant teams to resolve production planning and execution issues.

2. SAP QM (Quality Management)

• Configure and support SAP QM processes for:
• Incoming raw material inspections.
• In-process / Semi-Finished Goods (SFG) inspections.
• Finished Goods (FG) inspections.
• Handle inspection lots, inspection plans, results recording, usage decisions, and related quality processes.
• Troubleshoot quality management issues and support business users.

3. Support & Troubleshooting

• Handle L1, L2, and L3 support for SAP PP-PI and QM.
• Manage trouble tickets, perform root cause analysis, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Carry out configuration changes, testing, and issue resolution.
• Work closely with production, quality, and IT teams to ensure smooth plant operations.

Mandatory Skills & Requirements

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP-PI and SAP QM.
• Strong practical experience in process manufacturing / process industries.
• Good understanding of master recipes, process orders, and material staging.
• Hands-on SAP QM configuration and inspection lot management.
• Experience supporting incoming raw materials, in-process SFG, and finished goods quality processes.
• Practical experience in L1, L2, and L3 support, ticket handling, troubleshooting, and configuration.
• Willingness to work on-site in Gurgaon and travel to five manufacturing plants located 30–70 km away.
• Comfortable working six days a week.
• Available to join immediately or at short notice.

Important Note

Candidates with only discrete manufacturing experience will not be considered. Candidates must have hands-on experience in process manufacturing and should be comfortable with regular plant visits.
