SW Test Engineer II

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Software Test Automation Engineer with 3 years of experience in Python-based test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure high software quality.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Testing

. Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python.
. Create and execute automated test scripts.
. Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.

Test Design & Execution

. Analyse functional and technical requirements to create test designs and test cases.
. Perform manual testing (functional, regression, sanity, smoke) when required.
. Execute test cases and identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA.

Collaboration & Agile Practices

. Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
. Provide timely status updates and test reports

Quality Assurance Best Practices

. Implement and follow QA processes, standards, and methodologies
. Ensure high quality, performance, and reliability of applications
. Perform root cause analysis for defects and recommend improvements

Required Technical Skills

Programming & Automation

. Strong proficiency in Python.
. Hands-on experience with automation frameworks.

Testing Knowledge

. Solid understanding of:
. SDLC & STLC
. Test case design techniques (boundary value, equivalence partitioning, etc.)

. Experience in:
. Functional Testing
. Regression Testing
. Integration Testing
. System Testing

Soft Skills

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
. Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
. Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment
