Job Overview

• Role: Lead UI Developer / Lead Frontend Engineer (Svelte.js)
• Experience: 8+ years (Minimum 3 years of dedicated Svelte/Skit experience)
• Location: Chennai, India (Onsite / Hybrid)

Role Objective

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Frontend Engineer to pioneer our web application development using Svelte and SvelteKit. You will lead a high-performing engineering team in Chennai, architect scalable user interfaces, and establish modern frontend engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Design and build high-performance, robust, and reusable Svelte component libraries and frameworks.
• Team Leadership: Mentor a team of frontend engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive technical excellence.
• Migration & Integration: Oversee the migration of legacy apps (React/Vue) to Svelte or integrate Svelte into existing systems.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize application performance, load times, and state management for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and Backend teams to translate mockups into flawless code.

Required Technical Skills

• Core UI Foundations: 8+ years of deep expertise in HTML5, CSS3, Modern JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Svelte Expertise: 3+ years of production experience with Svelte.js, SvelteKit, and store-based state management.
• Build Tools: Strong experience with Vite, Webpack, Rollup, and NPM package optimization.
• Testing: Proficiency in unit and integration testing tools like Vitest, Jest, or Playwright.
• CI/CD & Version Control: Advanced knowledge of Git, GitHub/GitLab actions, and automated deployment pipelines
