Job Description

In recent years, in response to increasing concern for sustainability and animal welfare, over 2,000 companies worldwide and over 300 leading food brands in Asia have pledged to use cage-free eggs in their operations. Cage-free eggs are far more humane for animals, are much higher in food safety for consumers, and have become an important part of many companies' corporate sustainability pledges.

As a Sustainable Food Supply Chain Engagement Manager, you will:

• Connect with medium and large egg producers through emails, calls, industry events, cold visits, trade groups, and networking;
• Build relationships with medium and large egg producers to persuade them to transition toward cage-free egg production;
• Provide industry updates and develop resources to nurture relationships with egg producers and further encourage them to shift toward cage-free production methods.

Youll work from home and hours are highly flexible. Youll have colleagues in Asia, Europe, and the US who will work with and support you. Youll stay in close touch with them through calls, email, and messages. Through this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with leading food suppliers on sustainable farming and have opportunities for career advancement to managerial or other positions.

Qualifications

We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply. Experience working with the poultry industry is beneficial but not required. Telugu or Tamil fluency is required. Ideal candidates should possess the following experience and skills:

• At least two years of sales or sales-related experience (B2B Sales, Business Development, or equivalent sales- or advocacy-related related roles) is required
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and be highly engaging and persuasive
• Extroverted and proactive in building relationships and personal networks
• Ability to work independently, with a very strong work ethic and a can-do mentality
• Ability to remain resilient and motivated when you are brushed off
• Personal interest in sustainability, animal welfare, or public health
• Must be fluent in Telugu or Tamil, and conversational (or better) in English. Hindi proficiency is also strongly preferred.
