Role & responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys, topographical surveys, and site measurements for irrigation, water supply, and pipeline projects.
• Carry out alignment surveys and setting out for pipelines, canals, reservoirs, and related civil structures.
• Perform levelling, contouring, and preparation of longitudinal and cross-sectional profiles.
• Operate surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, and DGPS.
• Establish benchmarks, reference points, coordinates, and control points at project sites.
• Verify pipeline routes, chainages, elevations, gradients, and excavation levels as per approved drawings.
• Coordinate with the Project In-Charge, Site Engineers, and Civil Engineers for execution activities.
• Prepare survey reports, field books, as-built drawings, and measurement records.
• Ensure survey work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate survey data and support quantity measurements and progress monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Surveyor in irrigation, water supply, and pipeline projects.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline alignment, levelling, setting out, and topographical surveying.
• Hands-on experience with Total Station, Auto Level, and GPS/GNSS equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, layout plans, and longitudinal sections.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing will be an added advantage.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates with relevant experience in EPC infrastructure projects involving water supply networks, transmission pipelines, irrigation canals, and associated civil works are preferred.
