Role Description This full-time Surety Bond Underwriter role is an on-site position based in New Delhi. The underwriter will evaluate surety bond applications, review financial statements, assess client creditworthiness, and analyze project and contractual risks. Day-to-day responsibilities include determining appropriate bond terms and conditions, preparing underwriting recommendations, and coordinating with internal teams and insurance partners to finalize bond placements. The role also involves ongoing monitoring of bonded accounts, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company guidelines, and supporting business development teams with technical underwriting input. The underwriter will be expected to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver timely, client-focused solutions while protecting the company's risk exposure.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Surety Bonds and practical underwriting experience in surety or related lines.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Risk Analysis capabilities to evaluate clients, projects, and financial information.
• Candidates should possess foundational understanding of Underwriting principles and Finance, including financial statement review and credit assessment.
• Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills to explain underwriting decisions and interact with clients and insurers.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in using spreadsheets and underwriting tools, along with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Relevant academic background such as a degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field; professional insurance certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in insurance broking, banking, or financial services, particularly in corporate or project finance, will be beneficial.
