Key Responsibilities1. Operational Management
- Supervise rake unloading activities and ensure timely completion.
- Monitor the transfer of materials from rail wagons to designated yard locations.
- Oversee material loading, stacking, and movement within the yard.
- Ensure compliance with operational safety standards and procedures.
- Optimize cargo handling processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with Railway authorities for rake placement, unloading schedules, and other operational requirements.
- Liaise with Inspection and Independent Assessment (IIA) agencies for sampling, inspection, and certification activities.
- Coordinate with stevedoring agencies to ensure smooth and efficient cargo handling operations.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
- Conduct quantity and quality reconciliation of all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Verify cargo records against physical stock and inspection reports.
- Identify discrepancies and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of material receipts, movements, and dispatches.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to cargo movement.
- Track key operational metrics and submit reports to management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for all rail and yard operations.
- Perform basic SAP transactions related to cargo receipt, dispatch, inventory, and reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate system updates.
- Verify system records against physical cargo movement and documentation.
