Job Purpose/ Summary
The Personal Assistant to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO. provides high-level administrative, analytical, and coordination support to ensure smooth functioning of the procurement leadership office. The role requires strong expertise in MS Office tools and data analytics, enabling efficient reporting, tracking, and decision support for procurement strategies, vendor management, and cost optimization initiatives.
Job Description
The Assistant Manager in Procurement plays a pivotal role in supporting the procurement department by ensuring efficient and effective procurement processes. This position requires a deep understanding of procurement systems and documentation, enabling the management of comprehensive procurement records. The role demands proficiency in SAP and other IT applications to streamline procurement operations and enhance data accuracy. The Assistant Manager will leverage their extensive product knowledge to support strategic procurement initiatives and vendor selection, aligning with organizational objectives. A global mindset is essential to engage effectively with international vendors and stakeholders, understanding diverse market dynamics. The role also requires strong business and commercial acumen to identify cost-saving opportunities and support strategic procurement initiatives. The Assistant Manager will demonstrate people excellence by fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
