Role & responsibilities

Job Description -

• Transportation & Vehicle Management
• Book and coordinate project vehicles for fixed-package movements.
• Track vehicle reporting, loading/unloading, origin/destination IN/OUT times, service hours, and distance.
• Maintain daily vehicle and logistics trackers.
• Ensure timely vehicle placement and delivery.
• Dispatch & Plant Coordination
• Coordinate between the transporter, project MPM team, and plant logistics team.
• Ensure project deliverables are dispatch ready.
• Manage pre-dispatch checks, invoicing, vehicle loading, and dispatch activities.
• Monitor loading/unloading at Opmobility, customer, and supplier locations.
• Customer & Supplier Coordination
• Provide regular delivery/dispatch updates to customers and project teams.
• Resolve issues related to unloading, invoicing, traceability, PCS, GRN, POD, etc.
• Coordinate with logistics suppliers and purchase teams for additional transportation requirements.
• Conduct regular customer visits and collect performance feedback.
• Documentation & Commercial Tracking
• Track invoicing, PCS, GRN, POD, and other logistics documentation.
• Monitor Invoice vs. GRN status and ensure GRNs are not pending for more than 7 days.
• Validate SCOOP readiness and Sales Orders to prevent issues during production punching and invoicing.
• Create ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) in the customer portal.
• Process Improvement
• Identify gaps at customer delivery locations.
• Conduct gap analysis and prepare corrective/action plans with stakeholders.
• Train and mentor logistics supplier teams on supply-chain processes and customer-specific protocols.
• Drive improvements in delivery performance and logistics processes.

• Supply Chain & Logistics Management, Dispatch Planning, Vehicle Tracking, Invoicing & GRN reconciliation, ASN creation, POD management, SAP/ERP knowledge, Excel & MIS reporting, Customer portal handling, Root Cause Analysis / CAPA, Logistics KPI monitoring

Soft skills

• Strong coordination and follow-up, Customer handling, Vendor/transporter management, Problem solving, Communication, Stakeholder management, Shop-floor coordination

Desired Experience -

• 35 years of experience in Supply Chain & Logistics, preferably with an Automotive Tier-1 company.
• Candidates with relevant experience in project logistics, dispatch, transportation, and customer coordination will be preferred.
