Supply Chain Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Handle Direct Purchase / Direct Procurement of automotive components and materials.
• Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers for direct material requirements.
• Manage sourcing activities, RFQs, quotation evaluation and commercial negotiations.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, quality and delivery with suppliers.
• Develop new suppliers and support supplier localization / alternate sourcing initiatives.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning and Supply Chain teams for material requirements.
• Support NPD / New Product Development sourcing and new component development.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules and material availability.
• Drive cost reduction through cost analysis, benchmarking and supplier negotiations.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support production and project requirements.
• Manage purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1016 years of experience in Direct Purchase / Direct Procurement and Sourcing, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Candidates from Automotive OEM / Vehicle Manufacturing companies are preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in supplier sourcing, RFQ management, quotation evaluation and commercial negotiation.
• Experience in supplier development, vendor development and supplier localization.
• Good exposure to direct material / automotive component procurement.
• Experience in NPD / New Product Development sourcing will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of cost analysis, cost negotiation and supplier performance management.
• Candidates from reputed Automotive Tier-1 / Auto Component companies with strong direct purchase experience may also be considered.
• Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills with Engineering, Quality, Production and Supply Chain teams.
