Supplier Validation Engineer / Senior Engineer / Asst Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Drive APQP, PPAP and supplier quality activities for new and existing parts.
• Strong technical understanding of machining, casting and gear manufacturing processes.
• Review engineering drawings, GD&T and inspection requirements and provide supplier technical support.
• Perform and support supplier process audits, process validation and product inspections.
• Strong knowledge of CMM inspection and measurement techniques.
• Independently operate and understand the application of various precision measuring instruments such as vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, dial gauges and other inspection equipment.
• Analyze dimensional and process data to identify variation and potential quality risks.
• Lead supplier quality issues using 8D, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action methodologies.
• Work closely with suppliers, Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Quality teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
• Support supplier development, part qualification, validation and production readiness.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality and process capability.

Latitude for action and decision-making

• Works independently within defined Supplier Quality processes, standards, engineering specifications and project timelines.
• Independently plans and executes supplier quality activities including APQP, PPAP, supplier audits, process validation, inspection and supplier development.
• Has authority to identify supplier quality risks, initiate containment actions and recommend corrective actions based on technical assessment.
• Uses professional judgment to determine appropriate inspection methods, measurement techniques and escalation requirements within established procedures.

Education/experience

• B.E / B. TECH (MECHANICAL, AUTOMOBILE)

10+ yrs of Experience in similar industry like ours or with experience in Automobile, Construction equipment Industry & Farm Equipment sectors.
