About this role
Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Experience: 4+ Years
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer with 4+ years of experience in supplier quality management, incoming quality control, supplier audits, and manufacturing quality systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in supplier corrective actions, root cause analysis, quality improvement, and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for raw materials, components, and purchased parts.
- Conduct supplier audits and evaluate supplier quality performance.
- Handle Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), CAPA, and non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Perform root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, and other quality tools.
- Support APQP, PPAP, First Article Inspection (FAI), and new supplier development.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 quality standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles during inspections.
- Work with Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Stores teams to resolve quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce supplier defects and improve product quality.
- Maintain supplier quality records, inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action documentation.
Mandatory Skills for Screening:
Supplier Quality Assurance, Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Supplier Audits, CAPA/SCAR, Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone), APQP/PPAP, ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, GD&T, SPC/MSA.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- SAP quality modules
- 7 QC Tools
- PFMEA and Control Plans
- Manufacturing or precision engineering industry experience
- Supplier development and continuous improvement
