Position Overview
We are looking for a Production Supervisor / Production Associate to manage and monitor day-to-day manufacturing operations at the plant. The role will be responsible for achieving production targets, ensuring quality and safety standards, managing shop-floor manpower, and coordinating with cross-functional teams for smooth and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure shift-wise production targets are achieved.
- Plan and monitor manpower deployment, attendance, productivity, and shift operations.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and production processes.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Planning teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Monitor machine and equipment performance and promptly report breakdowns or operational issues.
- Maintain daily production records, shift reports, MIS, and other operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, safety guidelines, housekeeping, and workplace standards.
- Train and guide operators on work instructions, safety procedures, quality requirements, and process improvements.
- Identify and resolve shop-floor issues to minimize production losses and downtime.
- Support continuous improvement, Kaizen, productivity enhancement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Monitor production quality and take corrective actions in coordination with the Quality team.
- Ensure smooth handover of production activities between shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 36 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production operations.
- Experience in foam, mattress, furniture, FMCG, or related manufacturing industries will be preferred.
