Supervisor Heavy Fabrication

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day heavy fabrication activities, including cutting, grinding, fitting, welding coordination, and assembly.
• Allocate work to operators, fabricators, welders, and helpers according to production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and measurements.
• Monitor production output, quality, and adherence to the production schedule.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production Planning, Stores, and Maintenance teams.
• Monitor material utilization and minimize fabrication scrap and rework.
• Maintain daily production reports, manpower attendance, and job completion records.
• Ensure compliance with factory safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.

5. Required Skills

• Knowledge of fabrication processes and shop-floor supervision.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Basic understanding of welding, cutting, grinding, and measurement tools.
• Manpower handling and production coordination.
• Problem-solving and communication skills.
