Substation Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Siemens RTU / SCADA Engineer with hands-on experience in Siemens SICAM A8000 RTU, SCC/SCADA software, and Siemens PAS software. The candidate will be responsible for configuration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of RTU/SCADA systems for electrical automation and substation applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, program, test, and commission Siemens SICAM A8000 RTU systems.
• Develop and modify SCADA/HMI applications using Siemens SCC.
• Work with SCC/SCADA software for monitoring, control, alarms, and data acquisition.
• Configure and troubleshoot Siemens PAS (Power Automation System).
• Perform RTUSCADA communication and integration.
• Configure communication protocols such as IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, Modbus, and other relevant protocols.
• Conduct FAT, SAT, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Diagnose communication, hardware, software, and integration-related issues.
• Coordinate with site teams, clients, and engineering teams during installation and commissioning.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration files, test reports, and commissioning reports.
• Provide technical support for existing RTU/SCADA systems and resolve site-related issues.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in RTU/SCADA/automation projects.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens SICAM A8000 RTU is mandatory.
• Working experience with Siemens SCC/SCADA is required.
• Experience with Siemens PAS is required.
• Good understanding of substation automation and electrical control systems.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to project/client sites for testing and commissioning.
