Subject Matter Expert -Cyber Security & Penetration Testing

Role Description This is a contract, hybrid role for a Faculty / Trainer – Course Development in Cyber Security & Penetration Testing, based in Ahmedabad with flexibility for partial work from home. The role involves designing and structuring course curricula, creating lesson plans, labs, and assessments that cover core and advanced cyber security and penetration testing concepts. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering training sessions (online and in-person), preparing instructional materials such as slide decks, technical notes, and project briefs, and updating course content to align with current industry standards and tools. The faculty/trainer will also mentor learners, evaluate their performance, provide feedback, and collaborate with the academic and product teams to improve course quality and learning outcomes. In addition, the role may include participation in webinars, workshops, and internal meetings to support the broader education strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in cyber security principles, penetration testing methodologies, network security, and secure coding practices.
• Hands-on experience with common security tools and frameworks (e.g., vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems, exploit frameworks, SIEM solutions).
• Demonstrated ability to design structured course content, including syllabi, learning outcomes, lab exercises, case studies, and assessments.
• Experience delivering technical training or teaching, with clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics in an accessible way.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms, virtual lab environments, and basic instructional technology for hybrid and remote teaching.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, CompTIA Security+) are a strong advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and adapt course content based on learner feedback and industry changes.
