We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Structural Faade Engineer to join our growing team in Bengaluru. Responsibilities
- Act as Faade Structural Job Leader for projects led by the India Team.
- Representing the BH team in the workshop with contractors.
- Translate clients ideas into robust faade structural solutions.
- Deliver clear design calculations and technical inputs for bids and project work.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and stakeholder coordination.
- Mentor junior engineers in Faade structural Engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status with a recognised professional body.
- Experience with Structural analysis tools such as STAAD Pro, SJ Mepla, RFEM, STRAND7 or any other relevant softwares.
- In-depth design knowledge: Aluminum design, Secondary steel design, Glass structural design.
- Your skills and experience.
- Minimum 10 years of Faade structural Engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of faade systems, materials, structural behaviour and weather performance issues.
- The role requires knowledge of the following key faade engineering code frameworks - EURO/British Codes, American Codes.
- Experience in facade structural design including Aluminium, glass and secondary steel.
- Familiarity with standards and acceptance criteria for faade elements.
- Hands on experience with Strand 7, STAAD Pro, Mepla and basic tools Revit/Rhino, AutoCAD.
- Strong presentation, communication and reporting skills.
- Understanding of interactions with architecture, structures, MEP, fire and acoustics.
Skills
- Good to Have: Experience with working on multi-disciplinary international projects.
- Good to Have: Experience with DfMA, precast, tensile structural design.
- Good to Have: Practical experience with fabrication, handling, and installation of faade systems.
- Good to Have: Proficiency with digital engineering platforms (Rhino, Grasshopper).
- Good to Have: Experience preparing technical reports using Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Adobe.
- Strong grounding in building physics (ventilation, solar gain, thermal insulation, glare control).
- Experience advising on faade design from a sustainability and whole-life cycle perspective.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as MSc in Faade Engineering or PhD-level research.
